Lessons are offered through our variety of Group and Private Lesson products or alternatively through the options below...


First Timers
Tele Thursday - group lessons every Thursday afternoon from July 7 through August 25 from 1.30pm – 3.30pm. $58 / session.

Intermediate
Women’s Freeheel Sunday Slide – A women’s only clinic designed to give you confidence and inspiration while learning the technical side to telemark riding with like minded participants.
July 31, August 14 & August 28. 9am – 12am $87 / session, $235 for all 3 sessions.


Intermediate
Falls Freeheel Explorers – Learn to ski the resort confidently and techniques to take you beyond.
August 5, 7, 19, 21 1:00pm – 3:30pm $73 / session.


Advanced
Falls Freeheel Rippers – Advanced sessions looking at steep skiing, high end carving and bumps, racing and terrain park.
August 5, 7, 19, 21 9:30am – 12pm $73 / session.

Telemark Grading Levels
  • First Timer, New to Skiing on Telemark & Freeheel equipment.
  • Intermediate, Telemark Skiing: Basic Turns up to Varied Turn Shapes.
  • Advanced, Telemark Skiing: Refined skills edging up to Dynamic turns.
  • The symbols used to mark the ski trails on the mountain are consistent with on mountain signage.

Level 1
First time on snow. Never skied before.
Learn basic ski techniques common to all disciplines (Alpine, Nordic, Telemark).
Level 2
First time Telemark skier with some Alpine, XC ski experience. A basic parallel turn is the ideal minimum standard.
Learn the basics of telemark skiing. Stance, ‘tele movement’ and equipment. Try your first telemark turns.
Level 3
Have tried Telemark skiing but possibly not with a lesson and want to refine the basics for control.
Learn to make basic telemark turns in both directions. Link turns with rhythm.
Level 4
You can link skidded turns on easy terrain.
Learn to link turns with confidence and a stronger more dynamic stance.
Level 5
You can link turns on intermediate terrain & in varied conditions. Beginning to appreciate steering, edging & pressuring.
Introduce varied turn shape. Develop and refine edging and rotary skills. Introduce varied terrain (bumps, off-piste).
Level 6
You can confidently ride most of the mountain trails with control. You strive to become an all-mountain, all-condition skier.
Develop skills in varied snow conditions and steeper terrain. Learn to control pressure.
Level 7
Minimum standard: You can ski the whole mountain in all conditions. You would like to refine your technique. **Level 7 programs tend to be more focussed on coaching fine movements and tactics.**
Extend into advanced off-piste skiing, high level carving bumps and basic terrain park features.
