Opening Weekend Access

Falls Creek's Best Opening Weekend on Record!

With over 48cm of snow on the ground, and plenty more in the forecast, Falls Creek's 2019 Opening Weekend is shaping up to be our biggest on record! In 2000 (our best recorded season prior to 2019), we opened with 5 lifts. We are excited to announce this weekend we will be opening 7 lifts! These include Halley's Comet, Eagle Express, Gully Chair, Towers Chair, Drovers Chair, Mousetrap and Pete's Train (Snowsports School).

As well, for the first time in Falls Creek's recorded history, the village will be ski-in, ski-out from the first day of the season. These lifts access a multitude of terrain catering for all skill levels - the perfect opportunity to shake off the cobwebs and get those ski legs back into action! All lifts and runs will open at 8.30am, with Mousetrap opening at 9.00am, and Gully Chairlift opening at 8.00am. Great weather is forecast!

I have an Epic Australia Pass, will I be able to ski or board at Falls Creek this weekend?

Epic Australia Pass holders can now access Falls Creek and Hotham from Saturday 8 June onwards. Guests will need a valid Epic Australia Pass Snow Pass card. If you have already been issued a Snow Pass card for the 2019 season, you can proceed directly onto the lifts. Access to Falls Creek has automatically been loaded onto your Snow Pass card.

If you don't have an Epic Australia Pass card, visit the Falls Creek Ticket office (located in Slalom Plaza) to receive a complimentary new card. Access is only valid for those guests who have paid their Epic Australia Pass in full.

Will my Epic Australia Pass work at Hotham this weekend?

If you have already been issued a Snow Pass card for the 2019 season, you can proceed directly onto the lifts. Access to Falls Creek has automatically been loaded onto your Snow Pass card.

I have a 2019 Hero Pass, what do I do?

Due to the introduction of the Epic Australia Pass at Falls Creek and Hotham this winter, there will not be a welcome pack mailed out this season. Our priority is to make sure you’re able to have the most ride time, we have shared the following options for you this season.

2019 Hero Pass holders can access Falls Creek and Hotham resorts from Saturday 8 June. Your existing Snow Pass card will be updated automatically with your Hero Pass access and benefits, once full payment has been made. This option enables you to proceed directly onto lifts and enjoy first turns of the season.

If you don’t have your Snow Pass card, visit the Falls Creek Ticket Office to receive a complimentary new card. Hero Pass access is valid only for guests who have paid their 2019 Hero Pass in full. You can continue to use your Hero Pass access for the season, or choose to convert to an Epic Australia Pass. The choice to convert must be made before Tuesday 2 July.

I want to convert my Hero Pass to an Epic Australia Pass, what do I do?

If you already hold a fully paid 2019 Hero Pass, the upgrade fee will simply be the difference between what you paid for your Hero Pass and the Epic Australia Pass prices, as above. For some guests, this may even mean a small refund.

We have sent all fully paid 2019 Hero Pass holders an offer to convert to an Epic Australia Pass via email. Please register your intent to convert via this email, but to access the lifts this at Falls Creek or Hotham this weekend, please use your existing Hero Pass this weekend.

Once you have registered interest to convert, we will be busy in the background to ensure you have your new Epic Australia Pass issued for the balance of the season. Your 2019 Hero Pass will remain valid until we have completed and communicated your conversion to an Epic Australia Pass.

If you have not received converting details, please contact the Epic Australia Pass Ticket Office on info@epicaustraliapass.com.au. Please note, the deadline for converting your Hero Pass to an Epic Australia Pass is Tuesday July 2, 2019.
