TMNT RIDE TRIBE
The Ride Tribe program is purpose built to cater for teens who want to learn how to ski or snowboard for the first time or continue to progress their skill set.
Run by our expert instructors, the program works to keep teenagers engaged and enjoying skiing and snowboarding with teens their own age and ability.
*During peak season, children are grouped by ability and age whilst in the later months (September onwards) children are grouped by just ability.
WHAT DO I NEED TO DO PRIOR TO MY CHILD’S LESSON?
You won't need to buy your child a Lift Pass (this is included in the Ride Tribe Program), but your child will need a Snow Pass ($5) with a Ride Tribe product pre-loaded. You can do this at The Home Base, Base one, Base Two, The Snowzone, the Halley’s Comet ticket office or via the Estore.
We recommend that you come to Falls Creek an hour early on the first day of your teen’s lesson to ensure you have enough time to collect your pass, organise rentals (if required)*, and load the lift safely. If you do require rentals it is highly recommended that you organise this at least the night before the lesson to save you time, especially during the weekend. We also recommend joining the Halley’s Comet line in Slalom Plaza 30 minutes before the lesson start should give you enough time.
On the day of each lesson always check the weather and ensure your teen is suited up with appropriate snow gear, gloves, goggles, skis, boots and a helmet*
*Helmets are compulsory at Falls Creek to ensure the safety of all our guests, for more information click here to view Falls Creek’s Helmet Policy.

WHERE DO I GO?
Check-in is at the Junior Workshop grading flags in front of Cloud 9 at the top of the Halley’s Comet Chairlift.
You can ride Halley’s Comet without skis on and our attendants are on hand to ensure safe loading of you and your child. If you and/or your child have never skied before we highly recommend that you carry your skis on the lift, it’s trickier than it looks to get off the chair.
Parents or guardians are able to accompany their child onto the lift for pickup and drop-off regardless of whether you are skiing or not. If you are choosing to ski that day then you will require a valid adult lift pass.
Full Day Programs, check in at 9:45am, with grading commencing at 9:45am. Full Day Programs include lunch.
Please make sure you check-in at the SnowSports School Office at least 15 minutes before the start of your child’s program/lesson, and 30 minutes if it is your child’s first day.
We recommend joining the Halley’s Comet line in Slalom Plaza 30 minutes before the lesson start time to which should allow enough time.
