Snow Trip Checklist

Planning a snow holiday can seem like a daunting task. To help you through this process we've put together this check list to ensure you're all set for your Falls Creek holiday.

When should I visit?

The official 2020 Falls Creek snow season is traditionally from the Queen's Birthday Weekend through to the first Sunday in October.

The season at Falls Creek is typically defined by three key periods: early season, peak season and late season.

The early season in June is when conditions can be less reliable. We rely on Mother Nature coming to the party with cold temperatures and snowfall. If Mother Nature chooses to be stubborn our snow making team will work to make snow so that guests can still enjoy the slopes. Due to the unpredictable nature of June snow it is a great time to get discounts on lift tickets & accommodation.

Where should I stay?

Whether you want the quintessential Australian ski lodge experience, be fully pampered in a luxury hotel, or prefer a self-catering apartment for the whole family, Falls Creek offers a wide range of accommodation options to choose from, catering for groups and budgets of all sizes.

Falls Creek is a 100% ski-in, ski-out village in peak snow conditions (generally mid-July to mid-September), so staying in the village offers a wonderfully unique experience where you can ski or board straight out the door!

To secure your home away from home, we recommend booking as early as you can as the resort can book out quickly (particularly over the School Holidays and peak season weekends).
