Whether you’re new to the slopes or a veteran of your sport, group lessons are a great way to learn, improve or refine your skills. When it comes to skiing and snowboarding, our Snowsports School instructors are your personal trainers, here to elevate you to the next level. Get involved and enjoy these benefits:

  • First class advice in a safe and supportive environment
  • Learn with people of a similar ability
  • Skip lift lines with our priority loading
  • Explore the mountain in ways you've never seen before!

Choosing the best lesson for you:

Morning Group Lesson
Start fresh in the morning with a lesson to elevate your skiing for the rest of the day. Our morning group lessons will see you learning alongside others of similar ability in a larger group environment. Our morning group lessons start at 10:30 am and run for an hour and fifty minutes to ensure you get the most out of your lesson!*

Afternoon Max 5
Progress your skills to set you up for the rest of your holiday. The afternoon Max 5 caters for an intimate group experience, where you will learn alongside others of similar ability in a smaller group environment. Our afternoon sessions start at 1:30 pm and run for an hour and fifty minutes, giving you the afternoon to practice those skills!

*If there are fewer than 3 guests in an adult group lesson, the lesson will start at 10:30 am and run for an hour and twenty minutes.

What to bring along:

You will need to have a valid Snow Pass card, with a lift pass and your lesson loaded onto it. You will also need to be suited up with your snow gear, helmet, skis and boots or snowboard and boots. Pre-purchase online to save yourself time and money by clicking here.

When you arrive at the top of Halley's Comet chairlift and look straight ahead down toward “Moustrap”, you will see coloured flags to the left clearly labelled "SKI" for our skiers and coloured flags to the right labelled "SNOWBOARD" for our snowboarders. All adult group lessons meet at these flags. Refer to our Grading Levels for information about the best level for you.

We recommend joining the Halley's Comet chairlift line in Slalom Plaza or Eagle Express chairlift in the Village Bowl at least 30 minutes before the lesson start time.

FAQs

Are Lift Tickets and a Snow Pass card included in the price of my Adult Group Lesson?

Lift Tickets and a Snow Pass card are not included in the price of our standard Adult Group Lessons. The exception to this is our Learn to Ski and Learn to Board packages, which are designed specifically for people who have never skied or snowboarded before. Find out more about these packages here.

Will my lesson run in all weather?

Yes, our lessons run in all weather! The exceptions to this are if the lifts are on a declared wind hold or lightning hold. Please see our Terms and Conditions for more information.

Do you offer lessons in languages other than English?

Our group lessons are taught in English. If you do have any special requests or would like your lesson to be taught in another language, we recommend contacting our Sales and Reservations team to enquire about booking private lessons.

I'm late to my lesson. Can I still join in?

Once our lessons have started, latecomers are generally unable to join in. This is because the instructor will have assessed everybody's ability level and left the meeting area to access terrain most appropriate for the group level. Once groups have left the meeting area, it can be difficult to find them again and, even if you are able to find them, latecomers can disrupt the progression of the other group members. If you are late, see a member of our friendly team to discuss your options. Our team can be found at the following locations: The Home Base, Base One, Base Two, Slalom Plaza Ticket Office and the Snowsports School Office in Cloud 9, or can be contacted via phone or email.
