About Falls Creek:

Falls Creek Ski Lifts (FCSL) operates within Falls Creek, Victoria’s largest alpine resort.

We are owned by Vail Resorts and are the largest operator within Falls Creek, responsible for ski field operations including snow grooming, snowmaking, lift operations, Snowsports school, ticket sales, guest services, retail, equipment hire, maintenance, races and events, media and marketing, and much more.

Falls Creek boasts a massive 450 hectares of skiable terrain - the largest of any resort in Victoria. With roughly 90 runs accessed by 14 lifts, there is something to suit everybody's ability. It's a challenging, fun workplace where you'll learn new skills in an amazing natural alpine environment and make lifelong friendships.

The official winter season starts on the June long weekend and runs through to early October. Employee start dates vary depending on the role and snow conditions, with most roles commencing in June and finishing late September.

Part-time and casual positions are available across the resort and our huge variety of positions means we have a role for you.

Applications for our 2020 winter season have now closed. We will advise when we commence our recruitment for the 2021 winter season.

Before applying for a job with Falls Creek Ski Lifts please ensure you:

  • Are familiar with the Application Information
  • Have an Australian bank account
  • Know the Tax File Number (TFN) requirements
  • Have your superannuation details ready
  • Are aware of behaviours and expectations
  • Know the Interview formats and timeframes
  • Have your resume in a word.doc format ready to upload

Please Note:

Due to current travel restrictions into Australia, we will be unable to process applications from international candidates until further notice, unless applicants are currently already in Australia and in possession of a current visa with work rights. Application Process Overview

Application Process:

Once you have created a candidate profile you can check the status of your application at any time by logging into your profile.

To ensure your notification does not go to your junk/spam folder, please add human.resources@vailresorts.com.au to your address book.

Interviews for seasonal positions will be held via a video format called “Sonru”. If your application is successful and you are invited to complete a video interview, we will notify you via email with a link to complete your interview. Reviewing interviews is a timely process and your patience during this time is appreciated. All applicants will be contacted as soon as possible after interviews are completed regardless if you are successful or not.

Interviews:

Once you have logged into your interview via the email link, and before you commence your interview, you will have an opportunity to take part in a practice interview to shake off any of those pre interview nerves. Your interview will involve a series of questions with an allocated amount of time to answer each question verbally using your phone, tablet or webcam.

Unlike a Skype interview, there isn’t a person asking the questions from another webcam. This means the benefit of using the Sonru application is you, the candidate, can complete your interview at a time which is convenient for you anywhere in the world! 

Where appropriate, we may request a phone and/or a face to face format in which case the hiring manager will be in contact with you directly. 

Employment Offers:

Successful applicants will have an Employee Profile created and receive an electronic letter of offer containing all details of the position being offered. As a successful applicant you are required to either accept or decline your offer by the expiry date.

Once an offer is accepted, you will receive further pre-employment onboarding activities sent to your Employee Profile via the Talent Centre. Please ensure you complete all activities before the expiry date and keep all your personal details in your profile up to date.
