We’ve hit 1 metre base and it’s still coming down

Updated 28 July, 2025

Mother Nature isn’t holding back, and we couldn’t be more excited for it! Falls Creek was draped with even more fresh snow overnight, bringing our storm total to 51cm so far. We now have a 119cm snow base on the ground, with the Weatherzone forecast calling for snow flurries to continue trhoughout the week. The weather is wild and wintery out there today so keep an eye on our lift and terrain page or the Falls Creek app to stay up to date with lift operations.

This latest snowfall brings our season total to a stunning 252cm, and the mountain has never looked better. With great coverage across the board and the village shimmering under a fresh winter coat, it’s shaping up to be an unforgettable August.

The snow gums are back in their full winter wardrobe, the whole village feels like a real-life snow globe, and the snow just keeps coming. Whether you’re carving corduroy at first light or sipping something warm while watching the flakes fall, there’s magic everywhere you turn.

While the wild weather delivers the goods, it’s a good idea to pre-book your rentals, lessons and lift tickets online to skip the queues and secure your spot.

Got flexibility? Midweek is the sweet spot, quieter slopes, shorter lift lines, and more powder turns for you.
