Exciting Line-Up of Events at Falls Creek

All-new events set to entertain visitors in 2024

Loads of family-friendly events including Fireworks Fiesta, Night Skiing and Boarding and Twilight Tuesdays

Falls Creek, Australia’s favourite family-friendly resort, has unveiled its line-up of events for the highly anticipated 2024 winter season. From beloved family-friendly favourites to some exciting new additions, there will be plenty happening on and off the snow for everyone to enjoy.

The Opening Weekend Festival, beginning Saturday 8 June, will start the season with a bang. The celebratory street party will host Connected Circus in the Village Bowl followed by a spectacular firework show on Saturday night.

New to 2024, Falls Creek will launch the eagerly awaited, Mike’s Men's Ski Program, joining the wildly successful Mim’s Women’s Program. Mountain visitors will also get the chance to join in, or spectate, an Australian-first, Burton Mystery Series. A banked slalom event for all abilities that features product giveaways, athlete demos, après hangouts and more.

Families will be delighted by an action-packed calendar of events, including the enchanting Twilight Tuesdays, where kids reign supreme in a street party extravaganza featuring toasted marshmallows, outdoor games, and a special appearance by Pete the Snow Dragon. And don’t miss the Firework Fiestas lighting up Thursday nights throughout July and August, offering a mesmerising spectacle under the starry skies, complemented by Night Skiing and Boarding every Wednesday and Saturday, starting 28 June.

Falls Creek isn't just about family fun; their 2024 line-up of events establishes them as a dominant force in the Terrain Park scene. Twilight Tuesdays	Every Tuesday evening	The Village Bowl will be full of family-fun. From fire pits and marshmallows to games and music. It will also feature a special guest appearance from Pete the Snow Dragon.
Night Skiing and Boarding	Every Wednesday and Saturday, 29 June – 31 August	Ski and snowboard a lit-up Wombat’s Ramble, Australia’s longest green run.
Ski Demo Days	8 July & 9 July	Try before you buy with ski brands Atomic, Salomon, Black Crows and Volkl.
Fireworks Fiesta	Every Thursday, 4 July – 29 August	The action-packed firework show will take place in the Village Bowl, near the Frying Pan Inn.
Rossignol Cup & Cranky Charlie Cup	10 July	The popular events have competitors racing down Falls Creek’s iconic NASTAR racecourse. The Rossignol Cup is for Under 16s and the Cranky Charlie Cup is for Over 16s.
Board Lounge Showdown	5 July	Rail Jam under lights not to be missed. Open to skiers and snowboarders of all ages, the event will be hosted in the Village Bowl.
Wombat’s Rambler	12 July	One of the longest ski and snowboard races in Australia, under lights.
Mim’s Women’s Program	26 July – 28 July, 30 August – 1 September, 5 August – 9 August	Catering to beginner to advanced skiers and snowboarders, the program is ideal for women looking to improve their technique and gain new skills.
Mike’s Men’s Program	26 July – 28 July, 30 August – 1 September	Catering to beginner to advanced skiers, the program is ideal for men looking to improve their technique and gain new skills.
Rails Under Lights	2 August	Skiers and snowboarders will get to show off their best rail tricks in the Village Bowl under lights.
Chicks Who Shred	17 August & 18 August	Free to attend, intermediate to advanced skiers and boarders will get the chance to improve their skills in a welcoming, female-only environment.
Big Air	24 August	Skiers and snowboarders are invited to throw down their best Big Air tricks in the Castle Terrain Park.
Kangaroo Hoppet	24 August	Falls Creek’s pillar cross-country event.
Storm the Park Slopestyle	25 August	Open to both skiers and snowboarders, the Slopestyle is judged on overall run impression.
Rudi Pendl Cup	29 August	If you can turn it, you can race it. Skis, snowboards, monoskis, you name it. Choose your weapon and join in the one run Giant Slalom race.
Gay Ski Week	30 August – 8 September	Australia’s ultimate LGBT+ Ski Week is back with a full programme of après events and social skiing and snowboarding.
Burton Mystery Series	31 August	A global series of banked slaloms, the Mystery Series celebrates community and progression for all ages and abilities. Includes product giveaways, athlete demos, après hangouts and more.
Father’s Day Junior Mini Pipe Masters, Presented By Burton	1 September	This free event is for under 16 shredders and their rad parents who put in the hard yards ferrying them up and down the hill daily.
Summit Masters and Retro Weekend	7 September & 8 September	Tradition and true roots return to The Summit with a solid two days of competition in both Giant Slalom on Saturday, followed by Bumps on Sunday.
Bandwagon Banked Slalom	21 September	The event for any skier or snowboarder that loves a bumpy ride. There will be berms, jumps, bumps and spills galore.
The Dreamer	22 September	The jam style format competition will pit local legends against each other with progression the aim of the game.
Pond Skim	6 October	Finish off the season with a splash with huge prizes up for grabs and dress-up costumes welcomed.
