First Snowfall for 2026!

Posted: Friday 27 March 2026

Blizzard conditions rolled in this morning, delivering over 12cm of fresh snow with even more still falling! It has transformed the village into a winter wonderland overnight with temperatures dipping to -1.8 degrees. Our first snowfall for 2026!

A soft blanket of white coats the mountain, with flakes still falling and adding to the magic by the minute. There’s nothing quite like the first proper snowfall, the crisp air, snow covered rooftops, and that unmistakable buzz across the resort as winter starts to make itself known.

While it’s still too early to say what this means for the season ahead, it’s a pretty exciting glimpse of what’s to come, with Opening Weekend on Saturday 6 June just over two months away.

If this little taste of winter has you dreaming about your next trip to the mountains, take it as your sign to get organised early. Secure your Epic Australia Pass. with unlimited laps at Falls Creek, Hotham & Perisher, plus exclusive on-mountain benefits, it's the easiest way to set yourself up for the season. Prices rise 8 April!

Lessons and rentals are on sale now, book early and make the most of your time on the mountain.

Winter is on its way!
