The snow gods have delivered! This latest storm has stacked up a huge 71cm of fresh snow, bringing our base up to 140cm and setting Falls Creek up for some of the best spring skiing in years. September is here and the mountain is buzzing, the season is far from over, and we’ve got a fantastic lineup of events to keep you carving, celebrating, and soaking up the alpine vibes.
Epic Après – Saturday Sessions
The party is on at Cloud 9 Restaurant from 2–4pm. Sip on drink specials at the Mezzanine Bar, groove to live music, and score some cool merch giveaways. Après has never looked so good, come join the fun!
Twilight Skiing & Boarding
There’s nothing like carving turns under a fiery alpine sunset. Every Wednesday and Saturday from 5pm–7:30pm in September, Wombat’s Ramble lights up for twilight laps that let you finish your day in style.
Wombat’s Rambler – Friday 5 September
Get your team together and race down Australia’s longest green run… at night! Wombat’s Rambler is back with a new date, don’t miss the chance to light up the slopes and test your speed.
Retro Weekend – Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 September
Dig out the neon, pull on those one-piece suits, and hit the slopes in your most outrageous vintage gear. Retro Weekend is your chance to celebrate skiing and boarding old-school style, with some great prizes for best dressed!
Summit Masters – Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 September
A weekend of competition kicks off with Giant Slalom on Saturday followed by Bumps on Sunday. Whether you’re racing or spectating, Summit Masters delivers high-energy alpine action.
Burton Mystery Series – Saturday 6 September
The Burton Mystery Series lands at Falls Creek! This global event brings banked slalom racing, all-ages categories, athlete demos, product giveaways, and an après hangout. It’s about community, progression, and good times - all you need is an open mind.
Father’s Day Mini Pipe Masters – Sunday 7 September
Presented by Burton, the Junior Mini Pipe Masters takes over Castle Park’s mini pipe. This free event is for under 16 shredders and their dedicated parents. Prizes will be awarded for progression, stoke, and standout parent-child combos. Major prize packs are up for grabs and parents, you’re encouraged to drop in and show off your best moves too!
Bandwagon Banked Slalom – Saturday 13 September
The event for those who love a bumpy ride, the Bandwagon Banked Slalom will feature berms, jumps and spills galore. Pick out your best cowboy hat, saddle up and get involved with the event’s Western theme... Yeehaw!
The Dreamer – Sunday 14 September
Finally, we’ve got The Dreamer to round out Oakley's Freestyle Series. This event will see locals pushing themselves to progress in the park, with prizes on offer for levelling up your skills. The Dreamer isn’t about getting the biggest air or landing the craziest trick – there’s Oakley merch up for grabs for simply having fun and pushing yourself.
September School Holiday Festival – Saturday 20 September to Sunday 5 October
With spring snow, longer days, and a stacked line-up of family-friendly events. From kids’ workshops and donut decorating to twilight skiing and the iconic Pond Skim, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
