Opening Weekend is almost here, and the excitement across Falls Creek is building as we prepare to welcome guests back to the mountain from Saturday 6 June.    

Winter is turning it on at Falls Creek, with 20cm of beautiful dry snow fallen across the resort today and flakes continuing to fall heavily through the village. The snow gums are wearing their winter coats, the trails are blanketed in fresh white, and every step through the village feels like a true alpine winter wonderland.

It’s exactly what we love to see with Opening Weekend just days away. The resort has been transformed into a picture-perfect snowy scene, with fresh snowfall creating excitement right across the mountain as anticipation builds for the start to the 2026 season.

Our snowmaking team has also been making the most of every cold weather window, with the Techno Alpin snow guns firing whenever conditions allow. Combined with natural snowfall, the team is working around the clock to build the foundations for a fantastic winter season ahead.  

As we count down to Opening Weekend, keep a close eye on our social channels, app and snow report for the latest operational updates. The anticipation around the resort is growing, the crews are ready, and we’re looking forward to welcoming everyone back to the mountain.
