What’s on this August

Posted: Sunday 2 August 2026

August has arrived, and there’s plenty happening at Falls Creek. With more snow in the Weatherzone forecast, the timing couldn’t be better to plan your next mountain escape. From on-mountain competitions and ski demo days to progression programs and après in the village, there are plenty of reasons to make the most of winter this month.

Take your skiing to the next level

Looking to build your confidence and progress your skiing? There are still spots available in our Mim’s and Mike’s 3 day ski programs this August.

Designed for skiers looking to develop their skills with expert coaching across three days, these programs are a great opportunity to challenge yourself, explore more of the mountain and take your skiing to the next level. Spots are limited, so get in quick!

A big August on the mountain

There’s plenty more happening across the mountain this August. Test out the latest skis at the Volkl and Black Crows Ski Demo Days, watch the next generation throw down at the Falls Creek Freeride Junior 2*, or catch plenty of action at Storm the Park Slopestyle and the Ruckus Rail Jam. The Rudi Pendl Cup also is set to return, bringing skiers together for a fun race and celebrating a much-loved Falls Creek tradition. There’s also a packed line-up of après events throughout the village, promising to keep the good times going long after the lifts stop spinning.

With ski programs, demos days, competitions and après filling the calendar, August is shaping up to be a big month at Falls Creek. Check out the full events calendar and start planning your August visit.
