54cm of snow and Towers chairlift is opening!

Posted 8 June 2025

Due to the hard work from our incredible snowmaking team and a welcome push from Mother Nature, we’re thrilled to announce that the 2025 snow season is officially underway! We’ve seen 37cm of fresh snow land across the mountain last night, bringing our snowstorm total to 54cm. And guess what, the Weatherzone forecast is predicting more snow throughout the week! Winter has well and truly arrived!

This Sunday we saw skiing and boarding kick off with Mouse Trap and Wombat’s Ramble open for first laps and cruisy turns. Thanks to the massive snowstorm and the hard work of our mountain operations team, we’re excited to announce that more terrain will be opening tomorrow!

Towers chairlift is set to spin! Given the conditions, our team will require a little extra time to prepare the terrain to open. So Towers chairlift will be open at 10am, and Main Street will be ready for some hot laps, Monday 9 June. Giving guests access to our first intermediate terrain of the season.

Please note that Halley's Comet and Mouse Trap Carpet will operate at normal lift hours from tomorrow. For the latest updates on opening times, keep an eye on our social media channels, sign up to our emails, or check our Lift and Terrain page.

And this is just the beginning. We're laying a strong foundation with our new Techno Alpin snow guns, and with consistent snowmaking and further snow in the forecast, our mountain operations team will be preparing to open more terrain as soon as possible.

Private lessons are now available. Whether you're a first-timer or looking to refine your technique, our expert instructors will help you gain confidence on the slopes. Visit the team at Falls Creek Sports or Snowsports School to book!
